EFU Life house the Head Office of EFU is a corporate tower which incorporates innovative design ideas to suit client needs, improve efficiency, reduce space requirements and increase density It stands as a testament to its architectural innovation and environmental responsibility, reflecting EFU’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
The tower’s facade is a combination of solid and glass with front-facing curtain walls to maximize natural light. Also, it floats over the parking floors with roof terraces, designed by using green design concepts while offering stunning views of Karachi city. The interior design concept was more focused towards simplicity that allows form and function to go hand in hand. The structure promotes an environment of openness and efficiency.
For better air quality within, the building has extensive daylighting and natural ventilation systems. High-performance glazing and carefully positioned windows allow for maximum natural light while limiting heat gain, reducing the need for artificial lighting and cooling. Also, innovative HVAC systems with energy-efficient technologies ensure excellent indoor comfort while reducing energy usage.
Building a tower this tall required a lot of work, especially to comply with building laws, setback restrictions, and height restrictions. HFA and EFU had to work closely together and plan everything out. Despite these challenges, the finished product is an advanced corporate tower that not only complies with all legal regulations but also sets a new benchmark for sustainable head office design in Karachi.
