CAVISH COURT

Cavish Court  located on Shahrah-e-Faisal is one of the best examples of a commercial building with modern architecture from the late 1980s. This building is an orthogonal box in concrete with horizontal grooves for visual rhythm and texture. Horizontal grooves, vertical slats, and concrete louvers that hide split-level air conditioners and window units behind each window recess add to the building’s modernist aspect.

Team HFA installed HVAC systems without compromising the facade’s aesthetic appeal, maintaining its architectural identity while improving its functional qualities. Our goal was to design a practical and visually striking building while ensuring that it stands out on the busiest road in Karachi. The architecture of Cavish Court contrasts with the principles of that time as it was more focused on simple forms for that we opt Fair-face concrete to create a monolithic façade that is both functional and aesthetic.

After the first floor, the other three floors were designed to maximize interior space. The building’s interior design was planned to provide an open office space. All things considered, Cavish Court is a perfect example of modern architecture, pairing form and function that is creative and respectful of both principles.

HFA demonstrated a new approach to urban commercial architecture in the 1980s through its selection of materials and design elements. For more information, please refer the project description below:
